Bulldog Winch Car Tie Down Straps - BDW20326

  • Axle Strap
  • 2001 - 3500 lbs
  • 0 - 5 Feet Long
  • Bulldog Winch
  • 1 Strap
  • 1-1/8 - 2 Inch Wide

Use this axle strap in conjunction with a Bulldog Winch ratcheting strap to secure your low-clearance vehicle to your trailer. It has flat rings that can be easily fed under your brake line or through tight spaces. 10,000 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Strap secures your vehicle by the axle to the trailer
    • Works with Bulldog Winch ratcheting tie-down straps (sold separately)
  • Flat D-rings attach directly to large ratcheting strap hook
    • Easily feed under brake line or through tight spaces
  • No-stretch, high-strength polyester construction resists tears and abrasions
  • Integrated protective sleeve prevents excessive wear on strap

Specs:

  • Maximum load (break strength): 10,000 lbs
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 3,335 lbs
  • Dimensions: 2" wide x 3' long
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Video Transcript for Bulldog Winch Axle Strap Review

Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.dot com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bulldog Axle Strap with Flat D-Rings. This is going to be ideal for tying down any machine, it just really needs an axle. So we have a side by side here. We can use this on our vehicles as well. This is going to be a 2" wide strap and it is going to be about 3' long.

It does have a little sleeve here and that is going to protect this strap from any additional wear that you might get from using it over time. So it's going to last a long time and it's nice knowing you're going to spend your money on something that's going to last.So how these are used is you find a good spot on your side by side, or your pickup truck, or your old car, new car, whatever it is, kind of strap it around there and you can hook your ratchet strap on to there. And it's just going to give you a little bit more of a secure tie-down point making sure that it's pulling on the right places. It's just going to be a little bit better for your machine as well. Going to spread out that weight to two different arms as you see here.

Sometimes where you just kind of wrap it around and it kind of just crushes everything together. You can set these up how you like it just so whenever you're hauling your machine you don't have to worry about anything getting damaged. It is plenty of length. To be honest, I don't see any longer ones being much of a benefit. Axles are probably going to be about this size and diameter, probably not more, definitely less so. I definitely think it's a great size for it and it does have a working load limit of 3,335 pounds, but it does have a maximum capacity of about 10,000 pounds. So if you guys are in the market for an axle strap, I would definitely say Bulldog has one of the nicer ones.

They're all going to get the job done and most have the same type of D-Rings or D-Links on there. The flat D-Link that's on here is grade eight coated, which some of the other options you may have will have the same coating on the D-Links.This one right here is the SmartStraps version and their largest one that we carry here at etrailer.com is 31" and the Bulldog is 36. So if you're wondering if it's going to be long enough, I'd just say it'd be a safe bet to go with the Bulldog. I would definitely recommend it, but at the end of the day, it just gets the job done regardless of what brand you buy.So if you've got some stuff that you want to properly secure down to your trailer, whatever it may be, definitely grab some axle straps by Bulldog, and it would definitely be my pick. So go on etrailer.com and pick whatever you need..

These are very heavy duty straps. They work great for my application.

by:

Got these to use for rigging on my crane that I ordered at the same time. Used to lift a heavy generator. These things are heavy duty enough for almost anything I can think of. Two together are good for about 20000 lbs.

by:

I needed an easier way to secure loads on my trailer. These axle straps worked perfectly.

by:

Just finished assembling the dolly and tested it out on my utility trailer which had a Ploaris RZR stored on the trailer in the garage and I could easily move the 10 ft trailer around within the garage. Very satified with the itme that I purchased. Odered it last Thur and was delivered to me this Tues in Idaho.
Thanks for your great service. Chuck

  • Should Max or Safe Weight Rating Be Used for Bulldog Winch Axle Strap w/ Flat D-Rings
You'll use the Bulldog Winch Axle Strap w/ Flat D-Rings # BDW20326 by the Safe Working Load Limit of 3,335 lbs which is perfect for small to medium-sized vehicles like the Polaris you see in the linked review video. The max strength is what it's been tested to before it breaks, while the working load limit is what you can safely use the strap for without any fear of it breaking which is why you want to stick to that number.
